JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Establish and develop a new architecture, technical systems and development processes for retail based solutions. Evaluate and audit current systems for evolution and or end-of-life migration. Determine development requirements and workflow scenarios to design architecture. Work across teams and organizations to understand, learn and influence partners on new approaches. Mentor engineers on best practices and technologies. Establish development and migration roadmaps across engineering teams. Map architectural and technical choices to business objectives, along with cost efficiencies, scalability, performance and security requirements. Prioritize components of new architecture to incorporate based on roadmap and help design criteria to measure effectiveness. Establish relationships with other tech and architecture leaders across organizations to better understand needs and motivations. Establish research methods that can yield results within a month’s time. Maintain communications via research reports, architectural and dataflow diagram updates. Domestic Travel required 20%.
