JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Software design and development of large-scale applications using Java and Java EE technologies. Design and develop server-side software to enhance integration between Apple retail and online stores with wireless carriers for seamless iPhone provisioning and activation. Interface with carriers to convert business requirements into technical requirements. Create Sequence diagrams, Data Flow diagrams and models for the API sequencing for the program interface. Program and develop the API sequences using Spring Reactive Framework and gRPC, Model DB using Cassandra. Unit test the application program interface and resolve bugs. Review source code and instrument static analysis and code coverage metrics and incorporate best practices in coding. Work with business teams and cross functional team for playbacks related to the product and integration with carriers. Identify performance bottlenecks and perform profiling of code to identify potential hot spots and resolve them. Migrate the current application to a microservices based architecture for higher scalability. Create and maintain knowledge repository for the complex API sequences and other business requirements.
