JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer - Systems in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop software for Apple products. Leverage computer science fundamentals and knowledge of object-oriented languages in daily work. Design and develop Home framework and daemon process to support new features. Apply sound technical reasoning to fix and maintain existing software features. Screen incoming bugs and appropriate determine the impact, priority, and fix. Advise fellow engineers on HomeKit technical design and development. Continually expand depth and breath of technical knowledge inside and outside of Apple. Test new features and fixes, including writing automation tests. Lead escalations investigations to appropriately identify issues and required efforts to fix and mitigate negative impact. Scope and deliver on fixes or features in a timely manner. Contribute to all layers of the software stack, from network protocol design and implementation to developer application programming interfaces (APIs), to defining the customer experience. $130,000 - $196,500/yr.
