Salary Range: $199,098.00/year - $199,099.00/year

TITLE: Senior Data Engineer

Job Description:  Consult with business units on appropriate architecture for conversion of systems to source data lake data from cloud-based data warehouse platform rather than on premises SQL Server platform. Engineer solutions to give visibility into First Republic Banks utilization of the cloud-based data warehouse platform. Perform data analysis of data migrated into cloud-based data warehouse to ensure that data loaded is accurate given that collation, database engine behavior, and data types vary between platforms. Analyze data about utilization and assist with monitoring and configuration of cloud-based data warehouse environment to aid in minimizing credit utilization.  Provide expert assistance with conversion of business processes where there are technical blockers. Analyze data about utilization and assist with monitoring utilization of cloud-based data warehouse environment and design system to allow for implementation of enhanced least privilege system. Must be available to work in office 3 days a week. Telecommuting acceptable 2 days a week.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role.

Skills: Experience and/or education must include:

1. Cloud Based Data Warehouse; 
2. Data tool experience including script based/python ETL/ELT
3. Data Analysis for migration to cloud based data platform and analysis to validate clean/complete data sets that are migrated
4. Working in data management and laws and regulatory requirements specific to banking industry
5. Reporting experience with a wide variety of data visualization tools
6. Wide Database Management System (DBMS) Experience. 

Location: San Francisco, CA; Must be available to work in office three days a week. Telecommuting is acceptable two days a week.
