TextNow Inc., Manager, Data Engineering, San Mateo, CA.Design, develop, and support new and existing data and extract, transform, load (ETL) pipelines, and recommend improvements and modifications. Develop tools to monitor, debug, and analyze data pipelines to ensure data quality and reliability. Support data warehouse, pipeline, and integration points between various business systems. Develop and implement data pipelines for other teams such as billing, calling, and messaging. Perform capacity planning and cost estimates of proposed solutions. Work with other engineering and infrastructure teams to implement data strategy for governance, security, and privacy. Implement best practices and standards for data metadata and definitions. Monitor and maintain data infrastructure to support data science and analytics teams. Define tasks for data initiatives and delegate them effectively to the team. Mentor and guide the development of data engineering team members. Provide timely feedback to team members throughout data engineering engagements. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.𔃃:00 p.m.). The salary range is $199,098 - $273,390 per year.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following: Working with data warehouse, data lake, and ETL architectures; Working with cloud data warehouses including Redshift and Snowflake; Utilizing Python and SQL; Using open-source technologies including Airflow and Apache Spark; and Utilizing AWS, Kinesis, EMR, and Kafka.

Telecommuting permitted 5 days a week. 

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 5%.

Travel to various international locations required up to 5%.
