Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - Platform for its San Francisco, California office.

Job Duties: Work on core software engineering problems around scale, resiliency and reliability and helping multiple product teams design scalable distributed software systems across varied application needs; debug complex systems and code in OOP languages; work on highest impact problems within engineering, including involvement in technical discussions/decisions cross multiple backend teams and deliver scalable solutions that can be adopted by those teams; develop tooling & automate processes to ensure Motive’s backend functions well as a distributed system; debug/solve critical infrastructure issues across multiple backend services. Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field. Three years of experience in software development. Also requires education or experience in: Coding in languages such as Ruby, Go, Java, or Python; Developing and maintaining applications for cloud infrastructure such as AWS; Solving large cross-cutting backend problems with tooling and abstractions; and Debug complex distributed systems.

Salary: $165,000 to $259,325 per year
