JOB TITLE: Hardware Development Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Hardware Development Engineer (REQ# 200602813) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Definition, specification and technical leadership for the end-to-end compute needs of next generation products. Perform analysis of computer vision, machine learning, signal processing, and optimization algorithms to define compute partitioning between compute resources for CPU, GPU, hardware accelerators and create definition of specialized hardware accelerators or enhancements to existing ones. Identify opportunities for optimizing software implementations of algorithms. Develop hardware architecture implementations of computer vision, machine learning, signal processing and optimization algorithms. Design benchmark algorithms on CPUs and GPUs, analyze performance counters and create high-level algorithm complexity models. Develop hardware accelerator performance and bit accurate models in high level programming languages.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,589 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
