JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer - Firmware

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Firmware (REQ# 200604233) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop sensor algorithms for home and personal audio devices. Drive and create requirements for the best hardware solutions available and design software algorithms. Drive sensor integration and tuning in the product and ensure the highest quality execution. Design and develop sensor data visualization and manipulation used to drive data driven decisions. Build mathematical models in Python, MATLAB, or similar high-level language. Convert Python based offline algorithm to run-time mode and on-device execution. Fine tuning and optimization of algorithm model parameters to improve performance. Implementation into embedded or resourced constrained systems in C/C++. Design and develop validation plan of algorithms including re-play of test data on device to understand error introduced in the pipeline as well as regression/improvement over time.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,171 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
