JOB TITLE: AR/VE Software Development Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for AR/VE Software Development Engineer (REQ# 200604293) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Architect and program software features in support of 3D rendering and simulation engine development, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Design and implement Application Program Interfaces (APIs) to promote easy adoption of 3D engine features. Author functional unit and integration tests for corresponding software features to prevent regressions. Debug complex software bugs and regressions using debugging tools like lldb. Analyze and optimize non-performant rendering and simulation systems for multiple platforms. Utilize GIT-based workflows (via stash, GitHub) for code development. Perform code review assessments and provide feedback of software developed by team members. Write technical documentation for corresponding software features and API using documentation frameworks such as Doxygen. Contribute to cross-functional development projects with internal and external developers. Develop prototypes at the state-of-the-art of technology to find the best experiences for our products. Follow agile and waterfall practices, including the use of task planning and tracking software. Work closely with Apple's Human Interface design team to define the next generation of computing. Work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to define and prove new application concepts.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,713 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
