JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer (REQ# 200605750) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop software for Apple’s machine learning platform. Perform full lifecycle application development to support machine learning data platform. Designing, coding, and testing applications, primarily in Java and Python programming languages. Performing requirements analysis. Review code for other developers. Supporting and documenting software functionality. Perform security audits on software source code to identify and assess vulnerabilities. Analyze software performance problems and implementing optimizations. Analyze diagnostic reports and reconstructing failure scenarios to identify causes. Work with Apple's Siri group developing server-based speech recognition using state-of the-art speech engines using Java and C/C++. Implement and debug complex distributed systems problems in an Internet-scale service. Perform multithreaded programming and programming in large distributed systems. Develop, debug, maintain and optimize Siri speech server software.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
