JOB TITLE: System Product Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for System Product Design Engineer (REQ# 200605740) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Lead the end-to-end design and engineering integration of a next generation iPhone enclosure accounting for critical features such as manufacturability, material utilization, reliability, water-sealing, and antenna performance. Work closely with a range of technical and operations disciplines spanning many cross-functional teams to define engineering requirements and manage the resolution of challenges associated with integrating key technologies into the product. Partner with overseas manufacturers to ensure designed parts are mass producible. Resolve issues and ensure the design meets requirements throughout its lifecycle by applying mechanical and material engineering principles to conduct failure analysis and determine root cause. Parse and synthesize large datasets and complicated design details into visual summaries that clearly communicate issues and proposed solutions. Develop innovative analysis tools and methods to assess performance of new, breakthrough technologies invented for iPhone. International travel required 20%.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
