JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer - Systems

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Systems (REQ# 200606741) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop programming language features and software tools to automatically prevent, detect or mitigate software defects and security vulnerabilities by using static and dynamic program analysis. Develop new programming language features and tools that automatically analyze software to prevent new software defects and to mitigate pre-existing security vulnerabilities. Work with other teams at Apple to develop new tools based on their requirements. Communicate with developers within and outside Apple teaching them how to use the new tools. Write C++ code to enhance Clang compiler and Clang static analyzer capabilities. Use results of automatic testing and defect reports to identify and correct defects in Clang compiler and Clang static analyzer. Deploy security-focused functionality and tools in Apple's software development workflows. Communicate with relevant teams at Apple to verify positive impact on quality of Apple's software.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,931 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
