JOB TITLE: Silicon Validation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Silicon Validation Engineer (REQ# 200609455) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) applications, system-level bring-up, and integration Responsible for designing specialized hardware for PMU, system-level bring-up, and integration. This includes analyzing and understanding specifications of power management systems and their electrical loads, and providing support to chip designers, validation teams, and system architects. This role also requires ability to analyze signal-power integrity, build schematic and multilayer PCBs, perform component selection, operate advanced testing and measurement equipment, understand complex electrical design tradeoffs, and perform reviews or debug analysis to validate Apple designed Power management IC’s. Responsible for schematic designing of boards, such as simulation, and prototyping, such as PCB design. Conduct failure mode analysis, root cause diagnostics, and system-level problem solving. Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Process Engineering, to deliver state-of-the-art validation platform solutions. Author executive communications pertaining to key development checkpoints and contribute technical assessments to strategic decision-making relating to technology and investments.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,006 - $264,200/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
