JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for AR/VR Software Development Engineer (REQ# 200612780) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop a high-performance real-time 3D rendering engine for Apple platforms and devices such as Apple Vision Pro. Collaborate with the art team to ensure high-quality visual results for visual effects integrated in the operating system. Develop and implement rendering techniques to create realistic environments and characters for virtual reality applications. Optimize rendering performance using CPU and GPU programming to ensure smooth and responsive animations. Research and integrate new technologies, including path tracers and global illumination to improve rendering quality and performance. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C, C++, and Objective C to develop framework. Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement the engine architecture that runs simulations and performs rendering. Debug and fix issues related to rendering performance and stability to integrate the engine in the operating system. Develop tools and workflows to streamline the content creation pipeline for Apple technical artists. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in realtime 3D rendering technologies.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $226,158 - $272,100/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
