Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field and one (1) year of software engineering experience.
Qualifying experience must include one (1) year in Object-oriented programming languages including Java, Scala, Javascript, C++ or Python.
Qualifying experience must also include one (1) year in at least six (6) of the following (which may be gained concurrently):
- Multithreading and asynchronous programming;
- Agile or Scrum methodologies;
- Open-source and third party APIs;
- Microservices-based architectures;
- Unit and integration testing;
- Running and maintaining reliable, secure and scalable services;
- Version control, including Git, XCode, Visual Studio, or IntelliJ;
- Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
- Docker, Kubernetes or similar;
- Databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or similar; and
- Distributed systems and big data systems, such as Apache Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
