JOB TITLE: Software Engineer – User Interface

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Engineer – User Interface  (REQ# 200617099) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Performs quick prototyping by drawing conceptual design mockups. Shares and iterates with visual designers. Implements functioning software code. Demonstrates and iterates for turning the prototypes into a real feature. Designs Application Programming Interface (API) by understanding how sub-systems interact with data. Shares abstract and proposals to seek feedback and iterate and reach compromise. Implements the code to efficiently perform the software operations in a scalable and shareable way with other system components. Designs user feature development by understanding user benefit, designs flow of data exchanges and user interactions, and iterates with designers and users. Implements user feature for Search experience on Apple Devices. Writes software tests including defining testing surface, writing unit test that exercise the code paths, writing performance tests that measure time and allow to control stability, and ensures tests are part of frameworks in order to be re-used for other Operating System Platforms and other system experiences interfaces. Presents UI features by developing clear demo scripts, communicates to senior leaders and seeks compromise for decision making.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 - $220,900/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
