JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer - Test

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Test (REQ# 200625797) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Work with Software Development Engineers in the decomposition of requirements and the development of automated test cases. Review software design documents and code to understand functionality. Deliver Python automation libraries for use in test development. Coordinate with various development teams to re-use existing code libraries and models where possible. Design and maintain various test platforms and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Systems. Automate and execute tests. Log, report, and analyze root cause defects. Upgrade and maintain test platforms. Support end customer, manufacturing, and field issue resolution. Develop fixtures and associated Python infrastructure for ground-truth performance measurements. Create comprehensive validation strategies by reviewing engineering requirement documents and datasheets. Develop and enforce performance specifications. Triage bug reports created by internal engineers and external customers.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,365 - $220,900/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
