JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer - Systems

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Systems (REQ# 200652065) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for daemons and frameworks that support functionality throughout operating systems across all platforms, which requires knowledge of operating systems, computer architecture, and low-level system programming. Design, develop, and maintain software to perform management of applications in personal computing systems and coordinate operations between different processes in operating systems. Architect and develop manual and automated testing frameworks for the developed software. Triage and evaluate customer and internal bug reports. Provide design guidance, technical support, and expertise to teams across the company. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to design and deliver high-quality software features for Apple’s operating system. Beta testing Apple’s software and reporting bugs to the necessary teams.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 - $220,900/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
