OPAC Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Junior Engineer for its San Francisco, CA office.

Job Duties: Assist in structural design calculations by applying engineering principles and mathematical concepts; assist in creating and refining structural analysis models using industry-standard software tools. Assist in input and verification of data, ensuring accurate representation of project parameters. Help develop detailed drawings and schematics that communicate the intricacies of structural components. Work  with experienced engineers to review and verify structural designs and plans. Assist in the preparation of technical reports, letters, and memos that provide insights into project progress, design rationale and analysis results. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.  Engineering in Training (EIT) Certificate required. Six (6) months of experience in:

· Structural analysis modeling using SAP2000, ETABS, Revit

· Preparing engineering calculations and details for structural steel, prestressed & reinforced concrete design

· Developing structural plans and details using AutoCAD

· Preparing engineering calculations using Excel & Adobe Acrobat

· Performing independent review of design calculations.
