TITLE: Program Manager
DUTIES:
Responsible for overseeing and delivering large-scale software and technology initiatives. Duties include delivering programs on time, within budget, and aligned to scope, while ensuring accountability and stakeholder transparency; developing and maintaining comprehensive program and portfolio plans for cross-functional software and technology initiatives; standardizing business processes and implementing digital capabilities to track portfolio performance, including milestones, deliverables, and realized benefits; defines project scope, objectives, and detailed plans to monitor progress and ensure alignment with organizational strategy; and manages stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions, providing guidance on program management best practices, and ensuring proactive communication of status, risks, and issues. Recommends and implements risk mitigation and remediation strategies. Maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, manages expectations, and ensures clear communication across all levels of the organization. Leads Agile practices including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver incremental business value. Tracks and reports on key project and portfolio metrics such as budget, schedule, resources, risks, and dependencies, while escalating variances and recommending corrective actions. Defines and enforces program management processes and standards to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Partners with product and technology leaders to align initiatives with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management science, information systems, or engineering, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience managing large-scale engineering or technology programs, including cross-functional, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in computer science, management science, information systems, or engineering, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 5 years of experience in managing large-scale engineering or technology programs, including cross-functional, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Position also requires 5 years of experience analyzing and improving complex business processes and working with enterprise systems/software solutions; 5 years of experience with change management, digital adoption, and conducting cost-benefit or business impact analysis; 5 years of experience creating, managing, and presenting reports, dashboards, or performance metrics to stakeholders; 4 years of experience applying Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to software development and program delivery; 4 years of experience with enterprise program management tools and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, ServiceDesk, Visio, or equivalent); and 4 years of experience overseeing technology initiatives through the full lifecycle, from concept to launch.
Education and experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
SALARY: $175,480 per year
LOCATION: 40 hours/week in Fremont, CA (telecommuting one day per week permitted)
