JOB TITLE: Strategic Sourcing Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Strategic Sourcing Manager (REQ# 200678596) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Source, select, and qualify suppliers for components and materials used in Apple’s technology and products, such as power IC, driver IC and Time controller. Investigate alternate technologies, processes or materials to reduce cost and improve quality and reliability in Apple’s technology and products. Act as the commercial and operational interface between suppliers and development engineers to enable new features and product roadmap. Develop nuanced understanding of certain silicon landscapes (e.g. display silicon) to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier dynamics within custom silicon markets and leverage competitive dynamics to Apple's advantage. Interface with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for strategic partnerships and long-term development. Understand the tradeoffs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Apple's performance criteria and securing supply continuity to meet engineering specifications and end customer demand. Optimize global supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Handle demand and forecast management across business lines, and work with suppliers to resolve supply shortage.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $177,445 - $246,200/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
