TITLE: Senior Supply Planner (Multiple open positions)
DUTIES: Bring tactical expertise and strategic thinking to support a world-class demand-driven supply chain. Work with leadership by simplifying complex problems and data to propose implementable solutions. Duties include managing supplier allocations based on schedule, pricing, volume agreements, supplier capacity, and inventory levels; analyzing forecast and part-level demand to obtain adequate supply commitments and meet sourcing minimum volume commitments; managing program planning activities for new US supplier ramp-up as needed and performing analysis of planned, shipped, and delivered orders for regional projects to identify and resolve gaps. manage a complex inventory base, utilizing the best industry practices to create replenishment levels that support working capital and service level targets. Work with internal and external teams to ensure inventory accuracy and will collaborate with teams to manage assembly BOM schedules with local internal manufacturing sites. Provide early alerts to Delivery Managers for supplier gaps and work with vendors on recovery plan to de-risk project LD schedule. Drive suppliers’ On-Time Shipment (OTS) in partnership with delivery managers for the region and standardize supplier management practices and drive data visibility from PO to pick up. Coordinate engineering, sourcing, NPI and logistics on production issues and host weekly supplier meetings for updates on PO status, raw materials, forecast, quality, procurement and logistics concerns. Participate in quarterly supplier QBRs and provide feedback on mutual success. Support testing and adoption of Anaplan to expedite planning system transformation. 10%-25% domestic travel to Nextpower Las Vegas, NV facility and vendor factory/distribution locations.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Planning, Master Scheduling, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing. Experience must also include 5 years of experience in solar, electronics, semiconductor or steel manufacturing, automotive, or heavy equipment industry; 5 years of experience working with cross functional teams, including sales, operations and finance; 5 years of experience in planning, forecasting, and project management; 5 years of experience utilizing ERP systems and planner software such as NetSuite, Anaplan and MS Excel; 5 years of experience with figures and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets; 5 years of experience building, negotiating, and sustaining networking relationships; and 5 years of experience utilizing supply chain principles and best practices.
SALARY: $131,186-$145,000 per year
LOCATION: 40 hours/week in Fremont, CA (telecommuting one day per week permitted)
