JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for ASIC Design Engineer in Cupertino, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design, develop and integrate large and complex Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and System-on-Chip (SOCs), SOC blocks and sub-systems for the Apple products. Responsible for internal and external Intellectual Property (IP) integration and create complex sub-systems. Design SOC top level with IP, sub-systems, Physical Layer-macros, Input/Output interface/PAD-ring, system bus and other infrastructure components for clocking, reset and power-management.  Create and maintain integration specifications for the blocks and sub-systems, run Quality Control (QC) checks to ensure quality, create Unified Power Format (UPF), run synthesis and generate netlist and close timing. Bring-up and maintain integration and QC methodology, flows, and checks for the design. Run QC checks such as Lint, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), Reset Domain Crossing (RDC), and logical equivalence (LEQ) to ensure quality of the Register Transfer Level (RTL) code. Work with multi-disciplinary groups such as Chip Architecture, Design Verification, Physical Design, Design-For-Test (DFT) and power teams to make sure designs are delivered on time and with the highest quality by incorporating proper checks at every stage of the design development.
