Senior Manager, SALT (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, San Jose, CA. Provide state and local tax advice to clients and assess client’s tax burden. Recommend solutions to clients that support their overall business objectives. Provide client support so that their filling positions are consistent with good business practices and with the states’ applicable tax laws and rules. Assist clients with their tax planning and accounting needs. Provide solutions to address complicated business restructuring or general advice on day-to-day developments in multi-state jurisdictions. Demonstrate in-depth technical tax expertise. Manage client relationships and professional networks.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax or a related field, plus 6 years of related work experience.
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.
Certification(s) required: Must have U.S. CPA license or foreign equivalent, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar.
Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:
· Being actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients;
· Developing technical strategies including application deployment, support, and enhancement to solve technical challenges;
· Must have experience managing client’s financial resource requirements, budgets, billing and collections;
· Working with GoSystem tax software such as VERTEX or ONESOURCE tax systems; and
· Supervising and coaching staff.
Travel up to 20% required.
