Lead Firmware Engineer
Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer for its San Francisco, California office.
Job Duties: Serve as key member of the hardware team leading embedded projects from concept to launch; architect, execute and test complex embedded systems on a range of platforms from bare metal, RTOLS and Linux; collaborate cross-functionally on design and architecture of the firmware, hardware and software in the system, and plan/drive the project to product launch; design and development of high-performance firmware and software for cutting-edge embedded platforms and cameras; debug, optimize and validate firmware on complex embedded multi-core technologies; work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from concept to production on ground-breaking connected hardware projects. Telecommuting permitted.
Requirements: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Three years of experience in: C Programming for embedded systems; Wireless Technologies, such as BT/BLE; ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures; Operating systems concepts such as thread scheduling, context switching, and memory management; and Leading project from concept to launch.
Alternative requirement: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in: C Programming for embedded systems; Wireless Technologies, such as BT/BLE; ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures; Operating systems concepts such as thread scheduling, context switching, and memory management; and Leading project from concept to launch.
Salary: $230,000 per year
