Data Scientist II

Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist II for its San Francisco, California office.
Job Duties: Build statistical models and leverage machine learning at a massive scale to solidify technical lead in the connected fleet management space; analyze geospatial, transportation, and economic data to optimize the way freight moves throughout North America; apply statistical models and quantitative analysis on large datasets to measure and identify areas for improvement/optimization in the product; lead the effort for collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources; identify and help implement analytical and statistical tools to analyze data effectively; collaborate with product, engineering and design teams; Educate and steer the organization towards adopting a more data-driven approach. Telecommuting permitted.
Requirements: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Analytics, or a related field. One year of experience in: Data Analysis; Applied probability and statistics; Machine Learning Algorithms; Data-oriented programming in SQL; and Geospatial Data Analysis
Salary: $135,500 - $191,000 per year
