Head of Hardware Quality & Realibility

Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Head of Hardware Quality & Reliability for its San Francisco, California office.

 

Job Duties: Manage team of hardware reliability and quality engineers to create new consumer electronic products that meet a high bar for hardware reliability and performance; translate hardware product management reliability goals into appropriate testable goals; develop hardware reliability performance metrics and lead management reviews to review progress against those metrics, applying design for reliability techniques (FTA, DFMEA) and reliability modeling techniques; lead hardware reliability test planning, methodology and execution for all aspects of the product; lead the hardware failure analysis process with internal and external cross-functional teams for all failures discovered during reliability testing, applying statistical analysis including Monte Carlo Analysis, DoE, SPC, Gage R&R. Telecommuting permitted. 

 

Requirements: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus three years of experience in: Engineering product design validation for high-volume, consumer electronics manufacturing; Statistical analysis including Monte Carlo, DOE, SPC, or Gage R&R; and Designing for reliability and reliability modeling.

 

Alternative requirement:  Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related filed, plus five years of experience in: Engineering product design validation for high-volume, consumer electronics manufacturing; Statistical analysis including Monte Carlo, DOE, SPC, or Gage R&R; and Designing for reliability and reliability modeling.

 

Salary: $240,000 to $336,000 per year
