TITLE:        Sr. Project Accountant, International

                                                                                                                                                                        

DUTIES:

Project accounting related activities, dedicated to international projects, with a focus on Brazil projects: Invoicing, project reconciliation, revenue validation, support to Project Managers on general questions, follow up for cash collection, outstanding invoices, support to customer. Global consolidation of accounts receivable forecast for 12+ global subsidiaries with $2 Billion+ annual revenue. Cash flow: preparation of quarterly cash flow forecast worldwide for the business, closely follow up with operations and sales to ensure metrics and commitments are being followed according to the plan. Oversight of Project accountant team: support and review work prepared by the team based in Mexico and India. Interaction with many departments, customers, shared services, executives and auditors, including preparing and presenting the consolidated worldwide data to the executives on a weekly basis. Explanation of Balance sheet and P&L variation according to Brazilian scenarios impact. Analysis of projects viability according to Brazilian laws (economic and labor). Support on reimbursement program for Brazil subsidiary, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations. Support on consolidating information for the Brazilian accounting third party company, agency partner for Brazil business and operations team that supports Brazil projects and information reporting in a consolidated basis for Nextracker corporate team. Internal and external audit support. Supporting the maintenance of internal control SOX matrix and its activities. Training of Portuguese speakers on corporate policies, compliance, onboarding, system (Jira, NetSuite, confluence, SFDC).

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate accounting experience. Experience must also include:

• 10 years of experience using Excel to consolidate reports, prepare detailed reports using advanced functions (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, PIVOT Table, SUMIF, etc.), create executive financial summaries, validate data using functions including SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, IF, and various statistical functions, creating templates to support Macros, and format financial data into a presentable format for executive presentation.
• 5 years of experience creating templates to support Power BI.
• 4 years of experience using the following systems: NetSuite, SFDC, Jira, Confluence, Workday.
• 4 years of experience in the solar energy and/or construction industry utilizing percentage of completion accounting (ASC 606)
• 10 years of experience reading and interpreting multi-million dollar, complex customer contracts
• 8 years of experience managing multinational teams
• 8 years of experience with multi-currency reporting, global consolidation and elimination
• 10 years of audit experience

Proficiency in Portuguese required.

Experience may be gained concurrently.

 

SALARY:                                           $140,000-$150,000 per year

 

LOCATION:                                     40 hours/week in Fremont, CA (Telecommuting up to 2 days per week is permitted)
