JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer - Apps in Cupertino, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Build resilient data pipeline to ingest IOT data, like Power, from internal polling systems, like Epic, into analytics data store using technologies like Python, Perl, Shell, Kafka, and Spark. Enable integration for EPMS (Electrical Power Management System) and BMS (Building Management System) in the data center using Kafka and Spark. Enable integration for EPMS (Electrical Power Management System), BMS (Building Management System) in the data center using Kafka and Spark. Develop Complex SQL queries using ANSI SQL, VSQL, PSQL for both data loading and reporting execution. Design and develop data warehouse tables using dimensional modeling techniques to enable both current and historical view. Develop reusable packages in Python for the data analytics platform. Develop and Deploy analytics solutions in both Apple-managed cloud and in third-party clouds like Amazon Web Services. Enable data migration from Vertica to cloud MPP data stores like Redshift and Snowflake. Develop ingestion framework to load and manage data in S3.
