JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, CA. Deliver internal applications, tools, drivers, and frameworks for Human Interface Devices (HID) and sensing technologies. Develop drivers, frameworks, and tools for OS X and iOS for Multitouch, motion, ambient light sensors, trackpads, mice, and other input devices. Develop low-level systems code to support Multitouch drivers on iOS and develop code to support algorithms development and prototyping in software. Develop user space systems code to dispatch touch data to higher-level entities, such as Application-layer. Engage with the Touch Firmware and Algorithms teams to design and implement the interfaces between Multitouch Firmware, Algorithms and Software. Work with the factory teams to develop test frameworks in iOS and OS X to enable complete test coverage. Build test tools and data collection tools for iOS devices. Perform latency analysis of iOS event delivery. Maintain existing software and develop new software for future products and sensing technologies. Collaborate closely with Algorithms, Firmware, Application, Design, and User Study teams to deliver integrated customer experience.
