Software Engineer, Associate Director:

Federal Home Loan Bank San Francisco

Duties: Design, develop, integrate, and implement custom software solutions to achieve business goals related to Bank’s trading systems, portfolio servicing, accounting, and financial risk management software and API.  Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle (SDLC) including ongoing application support and maintenance.  Architect solutions that are fit for purpose and ensure overall quality.

Design, develop and implement modules, and interfaces for solutions to meet critical and complex Bank requirements.  Technology platform includes, but is not limited to:  C#.NET, Java/J2EE, Business Objects/Crystal Enterprise, VB/VBA, Swing, JDBC, RMI, Camel, Active MQ, Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Oracle, SQL Server, Spring, JBoss, Unix, Linux, SOA, RESTFUL Webservices, Middleware and FitNesse.

Independently diagnose and resolve complex support issues, and Architect solutions related to trading systems, capital market, portfolio servicing, accounting, fixed income and derivatives and financial risk management software and software customizations.

Developing functional and technical specifications for financial system (vendor or in-house) enhancements. Work directly with business partners to understand, assess, and document business processes and requirements and generate functional and technical specifications.

Perform unit testing and collaborate with Quality Assurance for the planning and execution of integration, system, and user acceptance testing.  Participate in application support in collaboration with operational staff including early morning and off hours support when required.

Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related degree, or the foreign education equivalent plus 3 years of experience as a Consultant, Computer Programmer Analyst, Programmer, Software Engineer, or a related position. Experience must include:

Architecting and Development of critical bank projects and resolving production issues occurring real­ time.

Analysis of performance requirements and interfaces.

Researching, analyzing, and evaluating system program needs.

Performing code reviews and unit testing of each module developed.

Applying the defect management process to ensure that defect tracking is properly addressed.
