JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer - Systems in Cupertino, California. Managing Maps services in production environments and providing the design, support, and automation of business systems critical for Maps organization to build a great user experience. Maintaining, supporting, and developing the Maps production services as part of a 24/7 Site Reliability Engineering team, coordinating deployment releases with onshore and offshore resources. Designing, developing, and managing core infrastructure services such as configuration management, authentication, and orchestration/provisioning. Automating repeatable processes using scripting languages for any applicable parts of the infrastructure, including service deployment into Cloud (Kubernetes) and tie-ins to other partner systems via APIs (Application Program Interfaces). Collaborating with development and evaluation testing teams in the design of supporting infrastructure and automated processes to ensure successful delivery of stable, maintainable, and supportable services. Designing and managing CI/CD (Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment) workflows to release code and data updates to Maps services in production. Working reciprocally with developers in supporting new features, services, releases, and become an authority in services.
