TITLE:Sr. Staff – Software Development & Engineering
Job Description: Develop the inventory exhaust process of the Fractional Order Engine, code review, mentorship of junior engineers. Bug fixes, deploying and testing code for inventory management in the development environments. Write Java code for the inventory exhaust process in the Fractional Order Engine. Write JUnit unit and integration tests for the Fractional Order Engine. Review all pull requests related to inventory exhaust development from members of the team. Mentor the three junior engineers on the team by helping them to understand and complete their tasks. Detect bugs in the inventory exhaust process through testing, and fix bugs as they arise. Manage deployments of the Fractional Order Engine application to the dev PCF environments and verify that the application is functioning correctly. Investigate new technologies that may be used in the application and document the results on Confluence. Design technical aspects of the application and create diagrams on Confluence to share with the team. Contribute actively in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement and retrospectives. Work from office address and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA, including working from home. Telecommuting acceptable
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation
Experience and/or education must include:
Programming language, such as Java or Python;
Cloud computing platform technologies – AWS, PCF, or GCP
Designing and developing data systems at scale
Agile methodologies.
Experience as a tech lead or mentor
Experience using CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket and Bamboo to manage and deploy an application
