JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, CA. Design and develop Firmware for AC/DC Power Converters. Writing optimized code for embedded systems. Debug of embedded systems Firmware.  Write programs with C language, and support scripts with Python and Bash languages . Work with and develop firmware with different bus protocols and interfaces, including I2C, USB-PD, UART and RS232. Document and do version control on developed systems. Interface with different types of Hardware peripherals like ADC (Analog to Digital Converters), comparators, amplifiers etc. Work with the QA (Quality Assurance) team to guarantee robust testing of the developed FW. Support the HW (Hardware) teams to guarantee correct usage of the pinout of the microcontroller, and optimized feature set for the project. Support the CM (Contract Manufacturer) during the prototype builds by supporting debugging efforts in the production line. Support CM during bench testing, providing specific Firmware variants that allow quick and efficient testing, and review the data provided by the CM. Work with cross functional engineering teams to develop debug code to triage issues during development and testing. Work on the bench with oscilloscope, AC source, electronic loads, protocol analyzers, JTAG and other equipment in order to debug issues.
