JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer - Firmware in Cupertino, CA. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support software for a re-usable instrumentation platform based on the Xilinx Zynq System-on-Chip (SoC). Implement and debug drivers for re-usable hardware components in Python. Write test cases in Python and automate with pytest and Jenkins. Implement and debug user-space and kernel drivers written in C. Review feedback from internal users and create actionable tasks/bugs based on that feedback. Modify components of a custom linux system (rootfs, boot loader, and others). Create and review documentation of existing hardware and drivers. Coordinate with vendors for driver creation, debug, and full system testing. $161,000.00 - $242,000.00/yr.
