JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop test plans and perform functional testing for cellular features. Design, develop, and maintain Test Automation Framework. Use Python for network simulations to validate cellular protocol. Work on test plan development and scripting for various features such as call control and mobility. Perform cellular protocol testing and debugging on different features on 5G SA/NSA (FR1 & FR2), LTE, UMTS and GSM on layers. Review field originated issues, analyze logs, re-create issue in lab environment, and get fix verified. Perform testing on carrier drops and OTA on areas like mobility, system selection, and data throughput. Work with platform architecture, standardization, firmware/protocol development, system test and carrier engineering teams to drive improvement proposals and baseband optimizations. $161,000 - $242,000.00/yr.
