JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Test (REQ# 200603449) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop and test software for iOS applications and products. Define and develop new test scenarios to exercise different aspects of LTE & 5G cellular modem,
wireless system testing, certification and cellular system performance. Execute the defined test case scenarios and drive product quality. Validate cellular modem system test cases for mobile devices using popular test development platforms. Analyze results and failures and identify issues and optimizations to improve user experience. Improve efficiency using scripting skills for 5G NR PHY/MAC higher layer control and user planes. Automate using python for challenges faced in mmWave & 5g standalone protocol for PHY, MAC, RF, IP, SIM, NAS, AS, TCP, UDP and iOS interfaces. Review architecture to exploit the opportunities in 3GPP specifications for LTE & NR air interface. Work multi-functionally with platform architecture, standardizations, protocol development, system test and carrier engineering teams and drive the improvements proposals and baseband optimizations to ensure most robust and customer
friendly software.

The base pay range for this role is between $172,931 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
