Developing features and optimizing performance and scalability of videogaming server systems. Collaborate with a team of engineers to build the software design and architecture of our new systems. Create and work on large-scale distributed HTTP/TCP/GRPC-based backend services creating new features and updating existing ones. Resolve defects during QA testing, pre-production, and in the live production environment. Work with multiple clients and platforms to complete user-facing features. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus one (1) year of experience in the field of game development or developing internet-scale server-side software.
Qualifying experience must include one (1) year the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);
• Source control systems such as GIT or similar;
• Programming languages, including the latest versions of Java, Go, Python, and Javascript;
• Building on Amazon Web Services;
• Development and optimization of internet-scale software services based on the HTTP and gRPC protocols;
• OSS technologies such as Kafka, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Docker, and Kubernetes;
• Development tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Maven, ArgoCD;
• Application frameworks such as Spring, Akka, and Reactor;
• Domain experience promoting social services in games such as building chat systems, activity feeds, and other core social feature areas; and
• Working on high traffic services and scalable systems.
Up to 10% domestic travel possible based on business need.
