JOB TITLE: Software Development Engineer - Systems

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Systems (REQ# 200605491) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and implement a new iOS screen capture Application Program Interface (API). Build testing infrastructure, utilizing knowledge of Apple’s proprietary graphics and rendering engine on iOS. Define user experience and build a proof of concept. Design prototypes of iOS screen capture applications running on top of the new screen capture framework. Utilize knowledge of Apple’s UX design and various screen capture applications on Apple’s proprietary operating system. Define responsibilities for each involved component and design APIs for each subcomponent. Build prototype and proof of concept to demonstrate end-to-end flow. Design block diagrams and wireframes. Build test applications and develop unit tests. Define performance benchmarks and execute performance tests. Using knowledge of the new iOS screen capture framework and all the APIs for each subcomponent. Triage incoming bugs, determine which component the bug belongs and develop triage tools.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
